Central States Trucking (CST) Expands Midwest Service Model with Purchase of Triumph Transport, Inc. (TT).

Bensenville, IL – August 2, 2016 - Central States Trucking (CST), founded in 1980, and currently one of the fastest growing trucking companies in the Midwest and Southeast (14 National Offices, with close to 1,000 total Employees and Drivers), has acquired Triumph Transport, Inc.  The combined entity will become the largest and most complete Intermodal Drayage Service Provider in the state of Wisconsin and greater Milwaukee market.

All of the management, office staff, and drivers of Triumph Transport will transition to CST and will continue to provide the same high level of service to the Wisconsin shippers and receivers as they have done since 2001.  CST expects to further increase its existing driver base in this location to over 150 drivers in the coming months due to new business brought on by this transaction.

The transaction provides CST with immediate capacity to establish itself as the clear leader in the Wisconsin intermodal market.  “The impending partnership with Triumph not only provides synergies with our existing international driver fleet, but also allows us to expand our focus in the Midwest to the domestic intermodal marketplace,” said Ron Vales, SVP of CST.  “Additionally, we believe the company cultures are aligned extremely well, so we are certainly anticipating continued high growth in this market with this merger.”

George Williams, President of Triumph Transport, added, “In CST, we see a similar drive to deliver the highest quality service to our customer base, something that Triumph has excelled at for many years.  This is an exciting opportunity for our team to become a part of a growing force in our industry.”

Ron Vales would like to personally welcome all of our new staff members, drivers and customers into the CST family and certainly look forward to working closely with everybody in the years to come.
